WHAT IS A DENTAL CT SCAN?

A dental CT (Computed Tomography) scan, also known as cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), is a specialized type of X-ray that provides detailed 3D images of the teeth, soft tissues, nerves, and bones in the oral and maxillofacial region. It uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam to create a detailed, three-dimensional image, allowing dentists and oral surgeons to visualize structures with high precision and accuracy. Compared to traditional X-rays, CBCT provides a more comprehensive view, aiding dentists in better understanding a patient's oral anatomy and facilitating precise treatment planning.

OUR MACHINE

The PreXion3D Excelsior CBCT. The CBCT is designed for dentists seeking superior diagnostic precision and comprehensive detail. It seamlessly integrates with all DICOM compliant third-party implant surgical guides and CAD/DICOM merging software programs. Excelsior stands out as an exceptional option for clinicians involved in implant dentistry, endodontic procedures, and routine diagnostics.

Many patients are concerned about radiation. Rest assured, our machine has the lowest radiation exposure. PreXion can reportedly deliver 30% lower radiation exposure without compromising image quality.

The scan itself takes about 9.6 seconds to take!

WE TAKE PANORAMIC X-RAYS TOO!

A CBCT scanning machine is a versatile imaging tool that not only provides detailed 3D volumetric images but is also capable of taking panoramic X-rays. This is achieved through its multi-functional design, which allows the machine to rotate around the patient's head while capturing a series of 2D images from different angles. These images are then reconstructed into a single panoramic view. The ability to perform both 3D and 2D imaging in one device offers significant convenience for clinicians, allowing them to assess a wide range of dental and maxillofacial conditions with greater efficiency and accuracy. Whether for detailed 3D imaging of bone structures or a comprehensive 2D panoramic view, the CBCT machine serves as a highly adaptable tool in modern diagnostic practices.
